We recommend up to 100 players (about 20 teams). This keeps the route from feeling crowded and ensures everyone has fun.

Q: How long does the game take?

Most teams finish in 60–90 minutes , depending on how quickly they solve the clues and how many coffee/photo stops they make.

Step 1 — Before the Event

Confirm numbers & form teams
- Ideal: 4 people per team; max 6.
- Example: 20 staff → 5 teams of 4.
Make one booking per team
- For five team you will have to Book five times (the above example).
- Enter a team name and your email each time.
- You’ll instantly receive a unique PIN for every team.
Share the essentials
- Send each captain their team PIN and the game link.
- Pick a meeting spot & back-up date if weather looks rough (bookings stay valid for 2 months).

Step 2 — On the Day

Meet at Start Location (see game details)
Hand out PINs & link at the start location (if not already)
Stagger starts by 2–3 minutes to avoid crowding (optional).
Teams open the link, enter their PIN, and the chat interface guides them through clues.
When each team finishes, results are emailed to you and shown on our top 40 leaderboard.

Step 3 — After the Game

Host a quick social wrap-up at a nearby café / bar.
Prize-giving ideas (pick one or mix a few):
- Top Detectives – Fastest overall time + fewest hints
- Clueless Sleuths – Last to finish (but never gave up)
- Sherlock Sensei – Solved the case with zero hints

We started early on Sunday morning, the weather was beautiful as we strolled through Devonport following clues that showed us the history of Devonport/Flagstaff. The clues and messages were well thought out and easy to navigate. We logged 11500 steps and would do it all again. Lots of cafes on the trail if you need refreshments.
